Lamine Yamal

Lamine Yamal is insane in the membrane. He is that good. Every time I watch this 18 year old Footballer, I get excited and I just can't help but wish the ball would come to him every time the ball gets distributed out from the back. I was never a Barcelona fan but right now I am a FC Barcelona fan because of this 18 year old phenom. For those of you who don't know, Lamine Yamal is an 18 year old football player for FC Barcelona. Orginally born in Spain, Yamal helped his nation win the Euro Cup in 2024 at the age of 16! For those who don't watch soccer, he was one of the best players in the tournament that represents the best soccer players in the world. Mind you, he was 16 years old making 35 year old grown men clueless trying to figure out how to stop him. He also played a huge role in Barcelona's impressive Champions League run and La Liga's 1st place trophy last season. He already started this season on a hot foot scoring for FC Barcelona last week in their first game of the 2025-2026 season in the dying minutes of the game.

Lamine Yamal is an exceptional playmaker who exhibits exquisite confidence on the ball. I love his style of play and the way he moves with the ball. It's like he was born to play football. He glides when he runs and has a truly magical left foot. He makes other players around him better with his creativity and hunger to get the ball forward, ability to make dangerous passes, and wicked ability to take on defenders. Oh and yeah... He scores goals! He's not a striker so he doesn't score many tap ins but he does create a lot of chances on his own or with teammates through link-up play. I hope he stays healthy and has an amazing career because he will truly be one of Spain's greatest players ever if he keeps his confidence up and continues to get better. My only critique of Lamine Yamal would be that he is still young and lacks aggression. You see, the problem is that he is so relaxed on the ball that sometimes I feel like he could be even better if dribbled at defenders with more ambition to get past them. But maybe he is just meant to be a relaxed, cool and collected football player who waits patiently to attack when the time is right. Who knows? He is still so young and has a lot of time to improve.
