I'm not sure that I have visited a place like this city. I have a lot of travel experience but the only big cities I've been to are Denver and San Fransisco. One thing's for sure; I haven't seen something as lively as the Power and Light District ever I don't think. First of all, a little back story; my mom has been setting up her tent for her art show all day and I've been on my own today. I made music for awhile this morning and afternoon and finally I figured it would be in my best interest to put my pure OCD doom-and-gloom to the side and leave the hotel for a little bit. Sooooo, I talked to the valet people by the front of the hotel and learned that the T-mobile center was a move for basketball pickup games. It's pretty awesome that they offer an all day pass to the basketball courts in the arena for $20.00 bucks a person. Shooting in an arena of that magnitude has got to feel insane.
WELLLLLP... I got there late and the courts weren't accepting anymore visitors for the day. WOOP WOOP. I started talking to the ticket master and learned about the events coming up the next few days. First of all, the premier league commentary booth will be here in Kansas City tomorrow morning, the weekend I happen to be here. So that was lucky. Next. Nate Bargatze. He performed tonight and will perform again tomorrow. I was shocked. NATE BARGATZE is in Kansas City the same time I am? Does this always happen in Kansas City, or did my mom pick a good time to come to Kansas City for an art show? I would love to know. He told me there will be a Sporting Kansas City watch party tomorrow outside the T-Mobile Center which is crazy to me. I was shocked that they would block off a whole street for a Major League Soccer game. I mean, let's be real how many Major League Soccer supporters have you seen walking around in the U.S? I will explain because you are probably American reading this. Major League soccer is the US's professional soccer league. There. Now you know.
It's safe to say that I was very surprised and overwhelmed by all of these activities. I wonder if Kansas City is always like this... Anyways Kansas city has been a treat so far. I can hear the live music coming from the art show outside my hotel. It's popping. Thanks Kansas City, Missouri for not being Kansas City, Kansas.
