Happy Times

During my Junior year of college I took a film class before my brain stopped working. After my first week of class, I met two kind people who were down to earth. I don't think they did drugs and they weren't in fraternities or sororities so I really liked them. It all started out when I was leaving class and I was getting ready to put my penny board on the ground and start penny boarding the rest of the way home. Before I could start penny boarding home, someone came up to me complimenting the purple penny board I was carrying in my hand. Ironically, I noticed that she had a green penny board in her hand! She told me that we shared a lecture hall the semester prior, and she would always see me walking up the steps to the top row of the lecture hall with my purple penny board. She must've sat at the front or towards the middle of the lecture hall because I never saw her, Anyway, we walked and talked for awhile and slowly became friends! Shortly after meeting Chaela, I was in film class, and noticed that the guy in front of me kept answering questions and giving his opinion to the class like me. So, one day I tapped his shoulder and introduced myself. I learned that his name is Stefano and we started talking after class where Chaela joined us. From there, the three of us became friends and would walk and talk to a specific spot where all three of us would go our separate ways home. I think it's cool how we parted 3 separate ways so perfectly!

Now, I had routine and I looked forward to film class every Wednesday and Friday. Our teacher was a cool a young guy who was hip with the memes and knew how to run a fun class. Stefano and I continued participating in class which I think inspired other classmates to contribute. I'm so glad this happened because the class really became fun when everyone was contributing and expanding or rebutting ideas.

After a month or so, Chaela, Stefano, and I started hanging out after class. The first time we hung out, we walked our normal route and continued onwards to the science hall where we found a Virtual Reality set for the students to use. We played "Just Dance" and some other games and had a good time. Another time, we hung out on the Landis Green Park until sundown. When the sun set, a local laser tag venue was being promoted on Landis Green which sounded fun so we stuck around to play. I remember it being really fun. The small arena was inside of a large tent that had barricades and windows set up for players to use. After playing laser tag, we ate from a food truck that had parked on the street next to Landis Green. While Chaela, Stefano, and I waited in line, I started meeting other people that matched my vibe and I really saw myself living a great life with my two new friends and potentially more. For the first time in a long time, I didn't need to post on social media around these people and I felt very connected to simple things when I was around them. I felt inspired to live a simple life with them as my close friends and meet other people like them as well.
